Don't Link to the Wikipedia

Run a few search queries in Google, chances are, some Wikipedia article is going to be in the top 10 results. Why does the Wikipedia rank for everything? Because wikipedia.org is a powerhouse when it comes to core domain authority. The linkarati (hey there's no Wikipedia article on "linkarati") link to the Wikipedia because it's the easiest place to get information.
Why don't we do the world wide web a favor and stop linking to one huge site, and link to niche sites instead? Spread the link love around and maybe those smaller sites will finally get a chance to rank.
I don't think it's a great idea to get all your information from one source.
